1) USE LOCAL, NATURAL AND SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENTS
We believe that a good product is not just the result of a recipe, it’s the fruit of a land. Our ingredients come from partner farms, no more than a few hours away from our workshops. We choose natural crops grown through agroecological practices*.Every harvest tells a story: that of a fragrant dried fruit, a chili sauce made by a careful farmer, or an oil pressed by hand.
Supporting local means supporting the independence of small producers, and ensuring that those who feed us receive a fair income.
When you taste Bondol Jet, you taste a sustainable Cambodia.
2) USE RENEWABLE ENERGY
Cambodia’s greatest energy comes from the sun!
At Bondol Jet, we strive, as much as possible, to use renewable, clean, and inexhaustible energy to power our production. It’s a challenge we embrace as part of our continuous improvement journey.
Sustainability is not a trend, it’s a responsibility to pass on.
3) IMPROVE ENERGY & WATER EFFICIENCY / SYNERGY

In our craft, every drop counts.
Water is the life of our land and the foundation of our products, but it is also a fragile resource, one we treat with the utmost respect.
Our workshops are designed to waste nothing.
Our production systems are optimized to run with the minimum amount of energy needed, using efficient equipment and intelligent process design.
We believe in natural synergy: what serves one stage can nurture the next. For instance, we reuse vegetable residues as natural fertilizer.
It’s a simple, circular logic inspired by nature itself, nothing is lost, everything is transformed, and everything helps sustain life.
4) REDUCE & RECYCLE FOOD WASTE
At Bondol Jet, appearances don’t matter: visually imperfect vegetables are transformed into sauces, oils, juices, or powders, helping us avoid waste.
Peels go to compost, and production surpluses are redistributed.
Over the years, our teams have learned to value every ingredient to its very last crumb.
Every gesture counts: weigh, sort, compost, reinvent.
5) USE ECO-FRIENDLY PACKAGING

Our commitment doesn’t stop with what’s inside, it extends to the packaging!
Bondol Jet reduces plastic use as much as possible, a real challenge in Cambodia, where it remains widespread.
In the near future, we aim to:
- Use only recyclable or compostable materials,
-
Whenever possible, reuse our own containers through a local deposit system,
-
Print on recycled paper with plant-based inks.
*Do you know what is agroecology?
Agroecology is a science, a practice and a social concept describing agricultural systems which rely on natural processes, thus contributing to human well-being and to creating a healthy environment. Agroecology is promoting biodiversity and ecosystems’ natural cycles, basing itself on the enhancement of life and living beings. It is benefiting farmers through social activities, the promotion of food sovereignty, local markets, and smallholder farming: agroecology offers a variety of innovative farming and social practices for a broad transition to sustainable farming.
